About colorpickerimage.org
Color Picker Image lets you pick colours from a photo, a screenshot or your screen and read them as HEX, RGB, HSL and CMYK, with a zoom lens for precision. Around it sit small colour tools: a contrast checker, a colour-code converter, harmony and shade generators, a gradient builder and a colour-blindness simulator. Everything runs in the browser; images are never uploaded. It started as the picker I wanted while matching paint to a photograph.
Who
colorpickerimage.org is built and looked after by Saurav Kumar Sharma, an independent developer in India. There is no company behind it and no team; if something breaks, the person who fixes it is the person who wrote it.
How it is built
Everything on this site runs inside your browser. Files you open stay on your device; there is no upload step and no server that could keep a copy. Drafts of the written guides are prepared with software help and then edited by hand; the measurements and examples come from running the tool.
